WEF Community Hub: Celebrating Connection and Community

At its core, WEFTEC is more than a conference — it is a community. Nowhere was that more visible in 2025 than at the WEF Community Hub, a space designed to bring people together — to connect, share ideas, and be part of something larger than themselves.

The centerpiece of the WEF Community Hub was the Mosaic Wall, a living artwork built from attendee photos. As the images filled in across the week, it became a striking symbol of collaboration, connection, and shared purpose across the water community. “This year’s mosaic photo captured the spirit of WEFTEC … thousands of attendees coming together to form something greater than the sum of its parts. It was a visual reminder that every person, every pixel, plays a role in shaping the future of water,” said Alexie Kindrick, Managing Director – Community Engagement.

The WEF Community Hub stage expanded on that theme by highlighting the many ways to get involved with WEF. Programming featured recognition moments like the MS4 Awards, previews of upcoming publications and case study series, updates on initiatives such as the National Policy Fly-In and the Water Leadership Institute, and opportunities for member connection through the WEFUnity platform. These spotlights gave attendees a clear look at how WEF programs and resources can help them stay engaged and make an impact year-round.

The WEF Community Hub wasn’t just a lounge or an exhibit — it was the beating heart of connection at WEFTEC 2025. It showed that every handshake, every shared idea, and yes, even every photo in a mosaic, adds up to a stronger, more resilient water community.
